Lucy-Dog has gone on to join Annie, Baby and T.J. She was their protector in life, so she felt that they might need her. She didn't have a pedigree—she was just a big black dog (my vet said we could call her a Lab, if we wanted to), but there was never a more gentle giant. I never worried about our little Poms when Lucy was on duty. Of course, the ones that are left miss her, but they understand. We miss her, too. See you on the other side, my Lucy-Dog.
